In the last few sentences of paragraph 4 you can clearly see a logical fallacy known as red herring. This is when someone doesn't address the main topic but instead makes remarks that it has been worse in the past. Squealer just does that when she tries to not focas on the food shortages and compares there new way of life being free. " But doubtless it had been worse in old days. They were glad to believe so. Besides, in those days they had been slaves and now they are free. It comes back to the analogy of the gym. To the left there is a person who would love to have your body and be as fit as you and then to the right there is someone how you would like to look like.

Manipulation

In this sentence snowball is manipulating data that she has not proven to sound more appealing to the audience which therefore will help her get more support. " And thereafter, he declared, so much labour would be saved that the animals would only need to work three days a week." The new invention of the windmill has not been proven so it could and very likely will be inaccurate but who wouldn't want to work three days a week. I feel that this can be connected to the majority of politicians especially in debates as they usually pick the information that most benefits them but either don't elaborate on the bigger idea or just leave critical information which at one point was inside the fact out.

To better understand how this article has insights towards the bill I chose I have to understand what the article really is. The article is about report called the Foundation Model transparency Index. This is measured on a yearly bases. It was made by researchers from very well known universities in California such as Berkley, Princeton and the most obvious one Stanford. It gives each company a grade to see if they are doing better or worse compared to the previous years. These AI companies are judges on how open or transparent they are on how they actual built the system and how it works. On top of that the risks that come with it. It's like a grading systems but the sad thing is that the majority of them are failing the "class". This highlights the danger and the issue at hand which could be resolved partially with this bill
