      <description>I wonder why the author throws in a paragraph of Amina's diary at the end of each chapter; like this one.

I think that the author is including different paragraphs of Amina's diary as the story progresses each chapter primarily to provide more context as to what the chapter was talking about; just as the paragraph at the end of chapter 19 was relevant to the text in the chapter.

What I found interesting in this chapter is the sensory &amp; figurative language involved.</description>
