I find it interesting how Malos way of coping with all the rough things going on in his life is by blowing all his money.

I liked how he deleted every ones messages throughout this chapter but near the end he saves Nia's message.

I like how Malo finds similarities between prison and school, which also hints at the school to prison pipeline topic.

Its kinda crazy the guard at the school is buying drugs from a 14 year old.

The way he describes his school his very in depth and I can get a clear image of what type of school he goes to

This chapter is very heavy and it hits a lot of key aspects surrounding Amirs death, such as dying to the streets at a young age, how grief is sometimes indescribable, unhealthy ways of handling grief, and common issues that does take place in areas they are in.

I found it interesting how Malo didn't say much but him not saying much kinda conveyed a heavy emotion, suggestng that he's probably not handling amirs death very well.

I also found it interesting how Malo refers to himself as "Brother" to Amir.

Its interesting how Malo ened up here and how he imagines this lifestyle for himself.

I wonder if this lifestyle will last for long

I predict something bad will happen

its interesting how Malo chose something that could put his life at risk rather over his love for Nia.

I wonder if Nia and Malo will ever reconcile?

I predict something bad will happen to him after making that choice.

I found it interesting how Malos dad is trying to spend time with him even though he wasnt a great dad, but Malo refuses to rightfully so.

I wonder why if Amina will ever confront Malo about how she thinks hes selling weed?

I predict she will eventually confront him.

- what I found interesting was how they address the issue of feeling like there's no other way to make money/provide for your family other than selling drugs, especially when you grow up in a area that makes someone feel like that's the only way.

-I wonder if there will be conflict around him selling drugs?

- I predict something bad will happen sooner or later

I found it interesting how Malos old friend, Fred, isn't so close to him no more and thinks he's better than Malo.

I wonder why Fred is acting like that towards Malo?

I predict he's gonna get in trouble with his school and parents.
