Hello Senator Blouin,

My name is Avery K_____, and I am a senior at Judge Memorial Catholic High School. I am writing to share my thoughts on the Medicaid Expansion Amendment currently being discussed. I appreciate your work to support Utah families and improve healthcare.

I believe that expanding Medicaid is importants becuase it helps low-income families. As a student who works closely with low-income families, this topic is one I will continue to fight for. I commit to service, primarily to those who are not capable of taking care of themselves and working with those who are disabled, mentally or physically ill, etc. I witness the need for Medicare every day, giving all the time and money I can give. Access to preventive services and affordable treatment can improve health outcomes and reduce long-term costs for both families and the state.

I hope you can support efforts to protect and expand healthcare coverage rather than limit eligibility through added restrictions. Ensuring that Utahns have access to reliable and affordable healthcare strengthens our communities and support econimic stabality.
