How does someone cope with death while having a terminal illness?

How does someone cope with death with a terminal illness?

Morrie once said, “It is only once a person knows how to die that he can then know how to live”.

But, to be honest, I didn’t understand what the quote meant by “learn how to die and you learn how to live” I also do not know how to deal with death while having an illness but I did have some relatives that have passed from a terminal illness and so I can’t tell how they dealt with that. But I do know that it is nothing to be afraid of because when you die you will go home to your father. So for me, there is nothing to worry about because heaven is an amazing place and a place of safety. And the best thing about heaven is being with Christ in open arms. And so, like the words of Morrie,” When you learn how to die then you can learn to live”. Soon enough you will realize that dying will not be so bad because dying is just what happens in life and there is nothing you can do about it but you can cherish the time you have on earth before you go home to God. If you are Christian or not, one thing is for certain, when you go to heaven it is gonna be the most beautiful place to be in and it can be described in many ways as a place of eternity with God, a utopian city, a state of being, and many more . And like I said before, the best part about it is the lord waiting for you with open arms like the father waiting for his son in the prodigal son story after he strayed away from him. So the connection of my inference and Morrie’s is that there is nothing you can do about your death and that is ok. But there is something you can do about the last remaining time you have, try going out and doing something you have never did before with your family. Learn a foreign language, adopt a pet, try swimming with a dolphin, and maybe if you have a fear try conquering it. and when your time does come, God will be there waiting for you. So my advice is “if you always look at the negative you will miss out on the good” So make the best out of the time you have.
