the importance of social justice all around me. From our diverse neighborhoods to the history of struggles and progress, social justice is a big deal. One issue I think about a lot is education. In some parts of our city, schools have better resources, while other schools struggle with raggedy books and worn out schools. This isn't fair, everyone deserves the same chances. Social justice in education means closing the gap so everyone gets the same chances in education No matter how poor their family is or what their family status is. Another thing is job opportunities. Sometimes people from poorer neighborhoods don’t get the same job opportunities as people from different neighborhoods. We need to work on giving everyone the same job opportunities. That was another way social justice is present in our city. Our city Philadelphia is full of social injustice. A third example is how people are mistreated by the color of their skin. Some store owners follow around darker skin colored people because of stereotypes. Racism is such a big part of social injustice. We need to stop all of these examples. That is the third reason for social injustice.
when we talk about social justice in class we also talk about history like how people used to be treated unfairly just because of the color of there skin Martin Luther King Jr is somebody we learn a lot about he fought for social justice he wanted people to be treated the same no matter what
in school we try to help by doing things like food drives and raising money for charity it feels good to help others its like when you help someone else youre helping make the world a better place
I wish all of these problems could go away. The only way we could do this is by getting rid of all of these making sure everyone is equal. It would make life so much more better if we had all of this solved but it isn't that easy there are a lot of steps to this hopefully one day in our life time we will be able to witness this.
