On April 16, 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. said,” Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."( King, Jr.) To me, social justice is economic and societal equality and fair treatment of all people. No matter the background, the color of one’s skin, the nationality of a person, or the economic status of a person, everyone should be fairly treated. Everyone should have the same opportunities, no matter their status. Unfortunately, that isn’t how it is today. It shouldn’t be this way.
An injustice that has affected me and my opinions is inequality, especially considering race. As far as I can remember, I have never experienced racism firsthand. I also don’t know anyone personally who has experienced it either. However, I know it exists, and it is illogical. A person’s skin color shouldn’t affect how they're treated. It also shouldn’t entail stereotypes that are commonly associated with those races. A black person shouldn’t be monitored as much when they enter a store because “black people steal a lot’. A brown person shouldn’t have a hard time going through TSA because “brown people are bombers”.
To alleviate the quality of life of people around me, I plan to educate them about these topics. Educating people about these topics will not only help them be more aware but could also bestow this knowledge on to other people. Educating people about cultural issues and showing them what to or what not to say, or what to or what not to think could be very beneficial. It is unclear what is best to uphold this justice, as some people will never agree to some of these things. However, the best we can do is to simply educate people and hope they take it to heart.
In conclusion, a lot of social injustice stems from ignorance. People are ignorant of current events and culture and problems in these cultures. So, to help make the world a better place, we can help people understand these topics more. Hopefully, this will result in less racial inequality and help people let go of those stereotypes that hold us back.

Racism is an ongoing issue that’s very prevalent in our society. It’s very difficult to solve as it’s an accumulation of hatred that’s build on decades and even centuries of conflict. It’s understandable why such precautions as stated in the paragraph occurs, but it shouldn’t have to be necessary.

I find this idea to be the most logical step. While not everyone will change, it’s important to try regardless.

Some suggestions might be to remove “In conclusion” from the first sentence of this paragraph as just removing those 2 words can make your paragraph more impactful. I also really connect to how you used “Hopefully” in the last sentence as it highlights how there will always be someone who disagrees or wont take these lessons to heart.
