Harris and Trump: A Political Tug of War with Unexpected Results
Script: Kamala Harris
Introduction: “ As we know now, Donald Trump won the presidential election and Kamala Harris lost. It was a close battle, but they both used tactics and marketing strategies to build up an image in order to win the U.S citizen’s votes. Today, we are going to analyze and dive deeper into what they did wrong and what they did right and how they could approve.
(Aissetou) What she did right: she listened to the voters and had plans that would benefit us, she showcased her plans in a way that would catch people's attention, she connected with the people more and emphasized with them. She wasn't disrespectful towards the voters. Kamala Harris fault for what was right. She uplifted people and gave them hope for the better. She stayed professional at all times.
(Jaeden) What she did wrong: Not specifying how her presidency would be any different from Joe Biden’s, She decided to run for president too late by the time she ran for presidency some voters already had their vote in and couldnt change it to kamala if they wanted to. One of the things they looked down upon was bringing Cardi B on stage to endorse her, which did not go well.
(Dayyan) How can she improve: She could improve on fixing her ties with Joe Biden. Because of this one mistake, it left some sort of concept that Kamila Harris would enforce the same policies (good and bad) that Joe Biden did. As much as Harris stated that they aren’t the same people, because of the ties with the former president and the timing of the election. It was in some ways hard to prove that she wouldn’t follow the steps of Joe Biden.
Script: Donald Trump:
(Aissetou) What he did right: He didn't do transitional marketing, he did podcasts, used social media, etc. He excelled in some swing states and ended up getting more votes than he needed to. He tried his hardest to make his opponents look bad so viewers would be on his side more.
(Jaeden) What he did wrong: During the presidential debate, he was spouting like a madman. His image to the public definitely dropped because of the presidential debate with Kamala since he was caught lying red handed. He was also involved in some deep controversy over his sexual assault, racism, and his 34 felony charges, people speculating that he used this election as a ways to escape his sentencing and stay out of jail.
(Dayyan) How he can improve: I think is clear to everyone that despite Trump winning this election there are some flaws that he could fix. One that people draw a lot of attention to was his attitude. To most people it felt like the whole time he was making this whole election to me some sort of joke and that that got a lot of people super angry.
