What political climates are near the colleges I applied to?
There is a large political atmosphere at UCSD campus and around the area. Many professors are encouraging the research of politics on campus to help students understand the atmosphere better. It is important to note that many students think it is more of a conservative campus compared to other UC campuses like Berkley or UCLA. ALthough the political climate can be hot on campus they still do a very good job of keeping the feeling at bay before they can get out of hand.
The political climate at CU Boulder campus is very involved with elections and politics. Many areas near the campus and on campus do a good job of providing information about the candidates and the campaigns they post. The campus follows up with every major election to show how involved the students and residents of the state actually are. Many Colorado residents have a lot of positive influence on their representatives in Congress and on the laws and freedoms the state has. It is important to me that I am in a safe political climate because I am a trans student and that information can be used to make an unsafe space. I do not want to go to a school that does not have a safe political climate.
