Its necessary to increase the share of renewable energy in global energy production to effect climate change and enhance public health.
Policy support: Implementing favorable policies and incentives to encourage investment in renewable energy projects.
Technological innovation: Advancing technologies to improve the efficiency and affordability of renewable energy systems.
Infrastructure development: Building and upgrading infrastructure to integrate renewable energy into existing grids effectively.
Public awareness: Educating communities about the benefits of renewable energy to foster acceptance and adoption.
Although fossil fuels still account for over 80% of global energy production, cleaner sources are gaining ground, with about 29% of electricity currently coming from renewables

There are technological and societal challenges in transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources
Technological maturity: Many renewable technologies are not yet fully mature and may not match fossil fuels in terms of societal integration.
Energy storage: Developing efficient storage solutions to address the intermittency of renewable sources like solar and wind.
Economic considerations: Balancing the costs of transitioning with the long-term economic benefits of sustainable energy.
Equity and access: Ensuring that renewable energy solutions are accessible to all communities, including those in developing regions.
Overall, there is no immediate transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy, however it is possible over time and we have made some progress throughout the years. It requires coordinated efforts in policy making, technological advancements, infrastructure development, and public engagement, while addressing economic and equity challenges.
