My personal thoughts on the halftime I would say were okay overall. I'm not the biggest Kendrick Lamar fan and I didn't really enjoy his performance until SZA came out; she really made the performance better, also considering she's my favorite female artist. Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show had a lot of meaning behind the dancers and what they wore.

The dancers wore red, white, and blue just like the American flag. Their dance moves and the way they stood together showed ideas about America, like how people are connected but also divided. At one point, they even made a shape that looked like the American flag to show unity. Overall, the performance was about being proud of where you come from but also recognizing the struggles that still exist. The message of Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show was about identity, unity, and struggle in America.

I would also like to highlight another important event that happened during the performance that really made an impact on me and the Aarb/Muslim community. One of the backup dancers was shown displaying the Palestinian & Sudanese flag and later was detained by security. This shows how just because someone is raising awareness about counties that are going through genocide, our society does everything to not show it, especially on TV.
