I never really understood or watched football my whole life, however, the pride, unity, and love I've felt since last night has transpassed that completely. You don't have to be a hardcore or thorough eagles fan to celebreate the Superbowl win. I'm just from philly and even I felt like I was n that field, I threw that ball, I intercepted, I touchdowned, everyhting. I didn't watch the game but I saw highlights and rejoiced with my people all the same. Cooper Dejean really made my night last night.
He intercepted Patrick Mahomes pass to his fellow Chiefs player and scored a touchdown! Not ot mentioned he was in his debut year, a rookie, that was the first interception of his career (in the superbowl no less), and it was his birthday! He's only in his early twenties, that is so inspiring and cool to me. Honestly, no one is topping that combo, not even Cooper DeJean himself! It was history and absouety awesome, it has to be the best birthday present you could ever wish for. Another thing I want to touch on is how the Cheifs Quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, arrived to the superbowl decked out from head to toe in green. The nerve and audcity, just to get his butt handed to him has to be humbling. They thought they were gonna win a 3peat but not this time!
Philadelphia has many challenges and issues but last night when everyone hit Broad Street after the win, you could spot so many differences. Differences in age, gender, religion, race, etc; but we all had one lone and same thought in our head, The eagles won the superbowl, we won the superbowl. That's what the game is all about really, the feeling and coming-togetherness of triump, pride, and love for our city and it's team. It was beautiful how we came together.
