This is a short article about the fresh new Cornerback on the scene for the EAGLES, Cooper DeJean.
Rookie, Cooper DeJean, just experienced his first Superbowl (LIX) yesterday February 9, 2025. Align with this being his first year in the NFL, at the Super Bowl, he also celebrated these accomplishments on his 22nd birthday. DeJean who in grew up in Odebolt, Iowa, and attended OA-BCIG, a school in Ida Grove, Iowa. He was later placed into the NFL draft of 2024, where he was picked for the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round. He is now a cornerback (#33) for the champions.
In high school, he played quarterback and defensive back and holds many school records. As a senior, he passed for 3,447 yards with 35 touchdowns and rushed for 1,235 yards and 24 touchdowns. Now in his current career with the Eagles, he has many highlights. He is even Rookie of the Year amongst fans.
Yesterday, Dejean's performance at the Super Bowl vs. the Chiefs was outstanding! His playmaking skills from college followed him here enabling him to have this amazing moment. DeJean’s pick-six was a great moment to watch live for everyone. He made an easy interception and returned it 38 yards to the house to break the game open midway through the second quarter. This was his first career touchdown, which also happened to be on his 22nd birthday and first Super Bowl!
