On Febuary 9, 2025, the Philadelphia eagles stopped the Kansas City Cheifs from winning their 3rd super bowl in a row which would have made them the first team in NFL history to do so. This game was a total domination being one of the biggest blowouts in super bowl history. In this game, the super bowl MVP Jalen Hurts brought the Philadelphia Eagles to their second super bowl win in franchise history. This game was well played on both sides of the ball as the Eagles offense, despite the Cheifs denfense being able to slow down their star running back Saquon Barkley, the Eagles still scored 2 touchdowns in the 1st half of the game. The Eagles defense also did a great job in the first half getting multiple sacks and 2 interceptions, one of them being a pick 6 made by Cooper Dejean, the Eagles defensive back on his birthday. The Eagles kicker Jake Elliot also made all of his field goals in this blowout superbowl. With this combined the Philadelphia eagles were able to hold the Cheifs at 0 points all the way until late 3rd quarter when the cheifs scored a touchdown with a failed 2 point conversions making the game 34-6. The Cheifs did get some points on the board in the 4th quarter but it was too late in the game for them to come back making this the Philadelphia Eagles 2nd Super Bowl victory over the kansas city cheifs in a 40-22 game.
