What I have gotten from general reading on the topics relating to my questions is that there are several reasons why people don't vote, primarily laziness and lack of knowledge on the process of voting. I also came to another conclusion when I was talking with a fellow classmate that one reason that a lot of people don't vote is because they don't like either of the candidates.
