After reading my article, I found that overprescribing medication is an issue of growing concern and that researchers are exploring 'deprescribing,' which means reducing or stopping medications that aren't necessary or could be harmful. I want to figure out if there are other methods researchers are looking into. I would also like to look into the wider perspective and see if other countries are going through similar issues, and if not, how are they keeping their drug abuse rates low or what alternatives are they using for prescription drugs.
But I really want to take a deeper dive into figuring out how many athletes, in particular, end up getting addicted to drugs they were prescribed for injuries and then were never able to detach themselves. I would also like to explore how accessible it is for people to obtain drugs these days and how many people’s drug addictions started just through prescribed medication.
