My topic has moved from the general housing crisis to a specific reason, which is large companies buying out plots of lands to mass produce houses as well as mass buying hosues in order to rent them out. This leads to massive tax benefits along with giving these large companies huge amounts of equitiy, meaning that they can take out as much money as they want for loans to pay back the houses each year while not paying a dollar in taxes. This is due to the fact that loans arent taxable, however they do gain interest which is offset becuase blackrock is one of the biggest stakeholder in the biggest banks in the world.
All this together has lead to companies such as balckrock taking advatage of our tax system as well as them prfiting from the housing crisis because they control the suppy meaning they have the ability to jack up the prices. leading the mayjority of people to be forced to rent.
This article is stating differerent reasons as to why the housing market has become so overpriced in the last 30 years. Inflation is a very large cause which has lead people to value renting properties over buying them because the downpayment for a home is simply to expensive. This has lead to large companies such as blackrock and oracle mass buying houses in bulk in order to rent them out to people and control the housing market.
