Philly's Eventful Eagles Parade
Gillie Da King is the Eagles unofficial hype man. He has a great impact on Philly. He was a rapper, the transition podcasts. Gille is from North Philly, he is 41 and was a part of a rap group called Major Figgas. Gille is very famous in the Philadelphia community, especially the eagles. He recently went viral for a video of him and the Eagles in their locker room celebrating with the song "Blow The Whistle” made by the rapper Too Short. Gillie was at the parade celebrating with the Eagles team and having an amazing time.
The Eagles parade was a fun and interesting experience. I went late around 11:00. I had a nice view at first but then I left because there was too much mud, too many people smoking and drunk and that's not something I want to be around. The speeches were good and funny and overall it was a good experience. It was green everywhere you went downtown. You could be walking far away from the parade and all you will hear is the eagles chant. There were people literally in trees, climbing statues and streetlamps. A man had fallen from one of the streetlamps at the parade and the light part of the lamp came off with him.
One highlight about the parade was the newscast. Since they were live streaming and airing to millions they had to censor the words. Every time a player came out they had to apologize for the profanity. I thought that was just hilarious because of the amount of times they had to do it. All of the players that gave speeches were funny, especially when that one player Jordan Mailata started leading the crowd singing “We Are The Champions”. A fun fact about him is that he is the first Australian to play in a Super Bowl victory. The 2025 Eagles parade was very eventful, to say the least.
