Dear Nastasya,
Hi! I’m writing this letter as part of an English assignment, but honestly, I’m really glad we got to learn about you. Your story is super inspiring, and I just wanted to say how much I admire your strength and confidence.
One thing that stood out to me was how you handled not making the U.S. Gymnastics Championships. A lot of people would have just given up, but you took time to focus on yourself and came back stronger. That takes a lot of courage. Also, the fact that you and your mom stayed in a different hotel just to save money like, that shows how much you both sacrificed for your dreams. It made me realize that even when things look perfect from the outside, there's so much hard work behind the scenes.
I also loved how you use music to block out negative thoughts. That’s something I do too when I’m stressed or overwhelmed. And the way you speak up about diversity in gymnastics, and how you look up to Simone Biles it’s just so cool that now other girls look up to you for the same reason.
I’m curious, how did you stay motivated during those hard times? And what do you do now when things feel heavy?
Even though this is for school, I really mean it when I say you’ve inspired me. I believe you’re going to keep doing amazing things on or off the mat.
Sincerely,
A Junior Who’s Cheering You On
