The article “The Reality of Keeping High School Friends” explains how friendships often change after graduation. The author says that “the people you shared lockers and lunch tables with may drift away” as life moves on. College, jobs, and distance can make it harder to stay as close as before. Still, the article reminds readers that this doesn’t mean friendships have to end, they just take more effort and communication to maintain.
This connects to my own question about how friendships can last after high school ends.
This article helps me understand that friendships don’t disappear, but they change. It highlights that staying friends takes time, honesty, and willingness to adapt because it won't be as easy as it once was. I learned that it’s normal for things to feel different, but that doesn’t mean you care any less. I can use this idea in my own life as I stay in touch with friends even when we go to different schools and our live's change.
