Timed Writing

I genuinely do believe we value possessions more than human connections. Us as Americans like to value and care more about the things we have and don't have instead of valuing and cherishing the things we have right now. For example, growing up everybody at my school was worried about the shoes people were wearing and things like that instead of building good connections with each other. Another example would be money, people get so obsessive over money that they spend their life chasing it. And I know money is a necessity to survive but some people get so caught up trying to make it that they don't take time to enjoy what they currently have. And by the time they have enough money they are too old to actually enjoy it. People don’t realize materialistic things break and disappear but good memories with families and loved ones last forever. It’s almost like we are trained to think success is only about what we own instead of who we are. I think that’s why so many people end up feeling empty even when they finally get the things they wanted. Learn to love and value what you have right now because it wont last forever.
