[I of IV] Writing Partners Start Pages, Onboarding, and Administration

A. Join/Login

Join/Log In - After opening this page, click Sarah's Login to view the wireframe as a Student or Dr. Lovable's Login to view the wireframe as a Teacher.

When users join the site they will have a Student role unless a Super Administrator upgrades a user to a Teacher role. In the wireframe Sarah is a Student and Dr. Lovable is a Teacher. Teachers have two extra rails: My Classes and Assigning Writing Partners. All documents and discussions by students in a teacher's or teachers' class will be automatically shared with the teacher(s) and teachers will have control over the properties and the editability of these documents and discussions.

[IV of IV] Commenting: Human and AI Comments.

A. Commenting

In Create/Edit and Read/Annotate Workspaces, the user highlights any part of the text, a section of an image, or a moment in a video and makes a comment with or without and AI partner. The Discuss/Chat Workspace has the same design as the comment boxes without a referring text.

A. 1. To start a Comment, highlight any part of the text in both Create/Edit and Read/Annotate Workspaces

B. Human Comments

B. 1. Making a comment (Human Only, also add media)

The comment box appears in the right pane, next to the text that you have highlighted

B. 2. Highlighted text gets underlined and comments are anchored to that text.

When underlined text is clicked on it is highlighted (or some other indicator) and the text scrolls up or down to the comment. Same when comments are clicked: text gets highlighted and moved next to the comment which is shaded when active.

C. Comment and Reply with AI

C. 1. Add Comment with AI to any comment in any workspace

The the Writing Partners that appear on a user's dropdown are either assigned by a teacher (in the Assigning Writing Partners Rail) or chosen by the student in the Writing Partners Rail

C. 2. Example of Commenting with the Thinking Partner - Question or Comment Box

C. 3. Example of a Thinking Partner's Response

C. 4. Example of a Thinking Partner's Response anchored to highlighted text

D. Tags and Media

D. 1. Tags can be added to any document, comment, reply, or discussion -- adding to the Tags Rail.

D. 2. Images and Video can be added to any Create/Edit document, comment, reply and to Discuss/Chat discussions

Under Add an Image, options include from a URL, from your computer. Students can also generate an AI image. Videos use embed codes.
