The halftime show at the Super Bowl this past Sunday was legendary. It was a revolutionary performance with a strong call to action. There were many hidden easter eggs, from the costumes to the stage set and guest appearances. Everything that was shown had a deeper meaning. Kendrick is known for being a rapper who educates people on the injustices that are happening throughout our nation and this performance was nothing short of that.
There were so many historical references like Uncle Sam, played by Samuel L. Jackson. Uncle Sam is important because he is supposed to represent the human embodiment of America and what America is. The most I'm[ortantn part was what Uncle Sam was saying, as it explained the expectations of America and how America wants people to play the game. Overall I think this was a well-thought-out performance with a lot of significance because President Donald Trump was there as well.
