Bio
My name is Drew, and I like to play basketball. Basketball is a part of my DNA because I often prioritize it over everything else. I play basketball at SLA beeber and I am in the class of 2026. Basketball is way deeper than just being a game it is therapy and it also builds great friendships. Since I was on the SLA team I became a better player mentally and I became more patient as a player and as a student. I chose to come to SLA because it was a different type of learning. It is in west Philadelphia so it was very close to my home. Another reason I came to SLA is because it lets you be your true self and I feel like I become more creative in some ways. I am a young black kid from West Philadelphia. My parents inspired me a lot like getting a good career when I get older so I can provide for my family. I come from a strong household where I had a lot of support through anything that I wanted to do. Also, a little fun fact about me is that I am a very caring and respectful person I would help anybody in need. I currently take A CTE Education class so that I can help support teachers in their classes. A highlight from my time at SLA is having the opportunity to take classes that can help me prepare for the career I want to go in. Also the the way the teachers welcome you in with open arms is another reason I choose to come here.
